One of the popular posts in this blog is entitled “Tips on Expressing Milk While Traveling Without Baby“.  It was written as a guest post by the local Fridge-to-Go distributor Stephanie Co.  She pumped exclusively for 13 months for her firstborn and is currently breastfeeding her 2-year old second child.  Steph shares that Fridge-to-Go made it much more convenient and hygienic for her to continue pumping while working full-time, traveling abroad or even going about the city on errands.  Here’s what makes FTG special and especially useful for working moms:

With its Surround Cooling Technology and space-saving refillable cooling panels, Fridge-to-Go keeps its contents so that pumping mamas need not worry that their milk will spoil before they get home.  Fridge-to-Go gives unbeatable cooling for the most precious product of all – your breastmilk, which will be given to your most precious bundle – your child.  It is really worth every peso!

I also had a Fridge to Go – a mini fridge sling which I used with my first baby.  I used it for about 2 years then passed it on to my sister.  My Mini Fridge Sling served me and my sister well and it now has a new home with my mom’s secretary who just had a baby in June 2012. However, unlike the current FTGs, my old one didn’t come with removable panels and was difficult to fit in the freezer.

There is one vast improvement over the old design – the current Fridge to Go models now come with removable panels.  This makes freezing a lot easier – especially for those with small freezers like me!  You only have to fit the thin panels into your freezer unlike before when you have to find space for the entire FTG.

In celebration of breastfeeding month, Fridge to Go will be sponsoring contests with its various retailers and blogs.  For COANM, participants are asked to share their why they believe Fridge to Go should be in the Mommy Gear Checklist.  If you already have a Fridge-to-Go you can still join by sharing what you like most about your FTG.
