NurtureRun will also help raise funds to sustain mother support groups that are currently existing within the community. It also hopes to organize more awareness activities like milk letting days to support the existing milk banks.
The Nurture Run is set on April 13, 2014 Sunday from 5:30 am to 10:00 am at the Quezon Memorial Circle. It covers 3km and 5km options with race kits costing PHP 450.00 inclusive of the race bib and Nurture Run shirt. The event is co-presented by UNICEF, International Labour Organization (ILO), National Nutrition Cluster group for Haiyan/Yolanda and Department of Health (DOH) in coordination with venue-host the Quezon City Government.
I received a race kit for myself and Stan. However, I will be in Davao that weekend and won’t be able to join the Nurture Run. So I’m raffling off our race kit to a COANM reader and her partner. Please don’t join if you don’t intend to join the activity on April 13, 2014. The winner will get 2 race kits/bibs (t-shirt sizes are Gray Large and Pink Medium) plus 1 mug. Open only to residents of Metro Manila. Giveaway will end on Wednesday 2 April 2014. Winner will be announced shortly thereafter. You can join via Rafflecopter below.
